Piano Solo in Pop Stylings for Intermediate
Music by Duy Bui
Yankee Cannonball is an exciting piano piece inspired by the historic wooden roller coaster at Canobie Lake Park. The music captures the anticipation my student, Arya, must have felt while waiting in line, the slow and daunting first climb, the thrill of the first drop, and the excitement of racing up and down the coaster’s wooden track. As the ride comes to an end, the music slows and becomes reflective, leaving behind memories of a memorable summer adventure. I hope you enjoy practicing this piece.
Sincerely, Duy Bui
