“Waiting for Summer” was inspired by the simple yet beautiful and profound language of the blues. There is a sense of yearning—perhaps for the sunshine we appreciate so much in the Northeast—but that longing could be for anything, even a piece of chocolate. I hope you enjoy performing this piece. I certainly had fun “yearning” while writing it.
