“Egyptian Desert” was composed for a very curious and dedicated student, Marc, who is also a very musical young musician. The piece captures the mystery of the Egyptian desert through rhythmic variety, contrasting articulations and dynamics, and unexpected harmonies. I hope the music inspires your imagination and takes you on a musical journey through the mystery and wonder of the desert. I wish you lots of enjoyment playing “Egyptian Desert.”
