Inspiring Excellence in Piano Performance

Duy Bui is a pianist and educator local to Portsmouth, New Hampshire with a passion for helping dedicated students grow into confident, expressive musicians. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Manhattan School of Music (2008) and a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire (2016).
Duy has performed at prestigious concert venues throughout the United States and Russia and has been invited to conduct choirs in schools, community events, and state conferences nationwide. Each summer, he teaches at camps in New England and California for children and adults who are blind or visually impaired. He currently serves as President of the New Hampshire Music Teachers National Association.
With specialties in the piano music of Beethoven and Chopin, American popular music, as well as arranging and composing music for piano and choir, Duy offers students a well-rounded, personalized approach to piano study. His lessons emphasize strong technical foundations, sight-reading, ear training, and a deep appreciation for the history and theory behind the music.
At the Duy Bui Music Studio, students receive professional instruction in a supportive environment, with opportunities for both solo and ensemble performance. Duy encourages creativity through improvisation and composition while maintaining a rigorous practice standard that helps students achieve lasting progress.
